If the prime minister was serious he would have flied economy.
what the general public does not know is Copa highest level of travel to Santiago is business class . There is no first class level of service from here to Panama or from Panama to Santiago.
Cannot remember but I seem to remember him saying something about how much Kams travel . He seem to be trying to beat her number.

Wonder if the general public do sheit if they will claim it as ignorance and disregard the matter. But on the other hand hope the sports minister is not seriously reprimanded as loads of other ministries giving out way overpriced contracts raping the countries resources and nothing is being said.

The talk is they decided to fly with COPA vs AA because of the timing. COPA is a shorter flight arrives earlier in the morning and since its a 2 day trip and they have a tight schedule a few extra hours is very important.

The savings talk is just distraction so he does not have to fire two of his pals.

Seems obvious that's the case. It's one of those situations where the AA flight was redicolously expensive so they use that to show we how much they saving. When in fact no one their right mind would have chosen a route that's more expensive and longer.

So...not only is Dr. Rowley appealing to the public's better nature by alluding to his Ministers' youth, inexperience and ignorance but he's playing the role of a remorseful father who did not give proper guidance to his children.

Marlene McDonald probably thinking if she were a few years younger, Big Daddy R. woulda jump in and save she too... :|

...“I am very disappointed with what I saw in the Ministry of Sport, I must say. But I am not overwhelmed by it because I am leading a young Cabinet and I have a responsibility to ensure they are guided appropriately.

I think I have been doing that and maybe not enough guidance would have followed at the Ministry of Sports. And I take responsibility for that and I will rectify that,” Rowley said.

He cautioned that people should not be quick to condemn Smith.

“I don’t want us to overdo the condemnation because while this is to be condemned for what one thinks is excess...maybe my lifestyle is different to other people"... :?

... Alluding to a $59,000 phone bill incurred by Tourism Minister Shamfa Cudjoe during a recent visit to the Bahamas, Rowley said: “I see that for what it is...it could easily have been me.” He said Clerk of the House Jacqui Sampson gave him a quick lesson in phone usage before his recent trip to Ghana...

...Rowley said the Government intends to seek the advice of an experienced individual in the public service to conceptualise a workable cellular management protocol for members of the Cabinet and government. “We are trying to eliminate waste, mismanagement and corruption,” he said.

Not an accomplishment, but please tell the minister of rural development to use mouthwash. Met with him, and had to keep distance.

PM to Sports Minister: Report to me
...Rowley responds to $92,000 Tobago trip

SPORTS Minister Daryl Smith may think the $92,000 trip he took to Tobago is a “storm in a teacup” created by the media to sell advertising, but Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley thinks otherwise.

Rowley this afternoon issued a statement, advising the public that he has requested a full report from Smith on the recently concluded trip to Tobago by him, Ministry officials, and officials of the Sports Company of Trinidad and Tobago.

The trip was to attend the Tobago House of Assembly's Sports Awards held on May 20 at the Magdelena Grand Beach and Golf Resort...

the graph consistently shows what ive been saying for years. every time pnm in power is heavy increase in serious crime. what also goes hand in hand with pnm governance? higher taxes, bad spending, loss making state enterprises, mutlimillion dollar contracts to family members, rise in food and general wickedness.

and in this all.. rowley setting a legacy. a legacy as the most incompetent leader in the caribbean. and who is he best friend? the next failures nextdoor with tonnes of oil and no us currency.

Ah going and bite with this chart.

Wey Zoom Raider?

You notice that the murder spike really took off around 2002/2003?

Wasn't that when Bas and dem lost the leadership of the country.

Yuh notice that the spike continued all the way until the PP came into office.

Yuh notice that the rate dropped substantially for the first year the PP was in office.

Yuh notice that the murder rate increased when Kamla and dem was kicked out of office?

Yu notice that the PNM murder rate figures are substantially higher than the UNC's? Any time the UNC is out of office.

Yuh seeing a pattern here?

I want pnm to explain how the budget after the 18/18 split was spent. There was a huge amount that was not spent on what supposed to be allocated. There were rumors this is what was used to begin the voter padding exercise

you all go ahead and post stuff about the government.

http://www.trinidadexpress.com/20170602 ... fences8217

THE Canada-based Centre for Law and Democracy (CLD) says it is deeply troubled by the reintroduction of the Cybercrime Bill by the Trinidad and Tobago Government, with only minor amendments to the previous draft.
In a release, the CLD said the bill was heavily criticised by media and human rights organisations for “vague and overbroad content offences which would have prohibited a range of innocuous, normal or even beneficial online activity”.
It said despite some minor revisions, these problems still remain.
Contrary to international standards “Overbroad content offences are always illegitimate, but are particularly dangerous online, where many people are still in the process of discovering their voice,” said Michael Karanicolas, CLD senior legal officer.
“The bill, if passed in its current form, could have a substantial chilling effect on online speech in Trinidad and Tobago.”
The CLD said there have been minor improvements in the latest draft, but several overbroad prohibitions remain.
“In each case, the prohibitions are so broad that they include perfectly legitimate online activity,” it said.

Don't know any thing about it so not commenting for now
I'm sure Ed and redman will enlighten us as to how great this is.

attempts to restrict freedom of speech is yet another indication of attempts to enstate tyrannical values by the ruling body. such an attempt is opressive, and an assualt on the constitutional right to free speech.

so they want to remove the public voice from the courtroom by removing the jury from the court process. then they could jail yuh at will if yuh say anything they dont like. so it should be clear by now. public opinion is disregarded by the pnm.

Pnm government supporters favor curbing freedom of speech and opinions since they only parrot what their leaders tell them to say and have no original thought

Another achievement
Allowing children with limited education into the secondary schools and their effects on children who actually want to learn
hope in a few years they dont blame the secondary school teachers

http://www.trinidadexpress.com/20170612 ... ary-school

EVERY child who wrote the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) examinations in May will be placed in a secondary school this coming September, and there is no need for parents to panic, says Minister of Education Anthony Garcia.

Garcia was responding to questions raised in an internal memo issued by the Ministry of Education to secondary school principals who were told that there was a shortfall of 800 spaces at secondary schools, that the principals needed to re-examine their in-take of pupils.

Garcia said there was no shortfall and that parents should not be concerned.

Garcia explained that the circular was sent to the School Supervisor III, and was nothing new. He said, however, that there was a breach regarding the letter getting into the public domain.

He said: “There is no shortfall. The 800 figure that was purposed was a figure that is something that we do every year. Last year was almost the same thing, year before was the same thing. It is a process that we follow every single year and the important point is this circular was not supposed to be in the public domain.”

Garcia said that a memo is sent every year to school principals to indicate their in-take amount.

“It (the letter) simply means that the information that we received from the principals would indicate that there is a shortfall in terms of the information that they have given to us but in reality there is no shortfall. As I have been saying over and over, some principals would indicate to us a letter intake and we are simply asking them please give us the numbers. Students are placed in schools based on their performance,” said Garcia.

He said that there will be no overcrowding at schools for the new school terms.

Garcia said the letter is done every year and reassurance the public that every child will be placed in September for the new school term.

He said: “there will be a place for every child who wrote the exam. That circular was never meant to be in the public domain and that calls into question the confidentiality of some of our senior officers at the MOE. It is a process that we follow every year, first written to primary schools asking them to provide us with information with respect to their proposed intake. And every year we have to ask principals to re-examine the information that they give to us just to ensure that all of the students who wrote the exams are placed. It is nothing to panic about, it is something that we are accustomed to doing every year.”

Garcia said that the SEA results are expected to be released on the first week of July, which would be the end of the school term.
