Seems like the weather took a victim. One of the trees on Independence Square (vicinity of Nicholas Tower) fell over.

FLOOD BULLETIN 2.
RIVERINE FLOOD ALERT!

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service is maintaining the riverine flood alert for Trinidad due
to the rainfall activity associated with the Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) over the last 24 hours.
As opposed to Street and Flash Flooding, Riverine Flooding is more prolonged and widespread.
Reports from the Water Resources Agency indicate that water levels in some of the nation’s major rivers
as well as their tributaries have reached threshold levels overnight, including the Caroni River. Additional
rainfall is forecast today with Numerical Weather Prediction Models estimating 20-40 millimeters over
the next 24 hours.

Gusty winds can occur in the vicinity of heavy showers and thundershowers. The possibility of
landslides/landslips also exists in areas so prone. Given the additional rainfall predicted for Trinidad today,
and the occurrence of high tide at 3:50 pm, the flooding situation is expected to continue for the next 12
to 24 hours in areas already being affected.

Citizens in general, and those residing in the Caroni River Basin in particular, are asked to be on the alert
for high river levels and overspill in some areas. All necessary measures MUST be taken to preserve life
and property.

WE STRONGLY UNDERSCORE THAT TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO IS NOT UNDER ANY TROPICAL
STORM THREAT, WATCH OR WARNING AT THIS TIME.

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service is closely monitoring weather conditions. As always, pay close
attention to information being issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), by visiting our
website at www.metoffice.gov.tt, downloading our mobile app (search: TT Met Office) and following us on
Facebook and Twitter. An update to this bulletin would be issued at 6:00 pm today Thursday 19th October 2017
or sooner if warranted.

I am so happy to see that according to social media the floods currently affecting Trinidad are not caused by exceptional rainfall but by a vengeful god who is vex with idol worshippers and non Christians!!! Makes me feel a whole lot better than we do not actually need to fix infrastructure, we just need everyone to become drones to the will of a particular school of thought.

I think the sarcasm is implied in the post.

But to avoid talk of politics/religion etc and get back on point.

Rain has eased up in Endeavour, but skies still overcast.
