Darn. That would be my expectation, but still that’s a hard hit to take.

However, if digital cameras are exempt, lenses by themselves can be considered to not fall in that category and thus have the required duties and taxes applied to them.

now realize the nice system Aeropost/Pricesmart have with the credit cards. They charging your card for the full amount in US$, even though the government fees are TT$ expenses.

If they collecting a lil $100,000 USD/day in VAT and duty payments, that is some good forex they extracting from the country.

This is why when buying equipment like that, you better off taking a plane, go forin, buy your lens, lime a week, and come back home and still come out cheaper.

I know is lockdown and covet and person probably needed it urgent, but option 2 is better when not too urgent.

So since when is Customs allowed to Charge Additional ONLINE purchase TAX????, seriously? im currently awaiting an item i purchased online and the courier sent me the invoice along with an email saying that customs had additional charges.. now adding duty is fine, but why charge additional Online purchase tax and Additional VAT?
This is beyond logical and normal thinking... is this now STEALING from citizens???

Anyone ever bought anything from CyberPowerPC with a local credit card? I'm looking to do just that, and have it shipped down through my skybox in Miami, but I can't seem to find any information on whether or not they accept international cards. So, uh, anyone know if they do?

websource is like 7-12 days now

i now call rpm express to find out as i see people saying they faster than websource......

rpm say 1-2 weeks minimum

you know even fedex priority delivery going through big delays

if i order something on monday, and it reach trinidad tuesday night, it would usually clear the same night or at the most, wednesday.

now 2 day delivery with fedex is taking 5-6 days or more

Nope, market has alot and they are all faced with the same problems with forex being the biggest. Surprise they all more or less still around.
