This is wrong information, only the saturation from other internet can affect a connection, though the node handles all communication, the saturation is felt at the CMTS and it depends on the bandwidth that has been allotted to that particular CMTS. The cable is on a totally different system and the phone system has its own allotted bandwidth that never changes e.g phone is allotted 5% of total bandwidth, that never changes even if there isn't voice traffic, 95% is purely for internet, but a connection is saturated if it reaches 85% bandwidth being used, hence the slow speeds, cable TV does not factor here at all.

There is high congestion in the Curepe and environs area, the only way to relieve this situation is for FLOW to add bandwidth at the CMTS that is responsible for "serving" that particular area.....

So since the 100MB package is gonna triple to 300MB.
The other packages would be tripled as well?

or are they just going to add the 300MB option for more money than the 100MB

How long does it usually take to change internet packages?
I thought it was a short and simple process (on the customer's end)

They said the change was made (when I called them Saturday evening) and I will get the new speeds in a few minutes, maximum.

24 hours later, still no change.
Called back and got a sad story and was told to call back Monday.
Called Monday and got another sad story.

Meanwhile the account is being billed at the new price

^ yeah, I tried the reset button a few times. unplugged/took out the battery for a while too, even connected the modem directly to the computer just in case the router was giving problems, but no change.
