A FELICITY teenager driving along the Solomon Hochoy Highway early yesterday died after losing control of his vehicle.
He has been identiifed as Nicholas Pyle, 19, of Dularie Street, Felicity.
The crash happened on the South-bound lane of the highway, on the approach to the Claxton Bay overpass, which is considered one of the most dangerous stretches in the country, and the scene of multiple fatalities over the years.
Witnesses say that around 7.30 a.m., the car, a silver-coloured Honda Civic, crashed through the metal guard rails.
According to police, Pyle was proceeding south, when his vehicle slid on the wet road due to the heavy rainfall and he lost control.
Parts of the vehicle were ripped off and the driver was ejected from the car.

if he was on the left lane, there is terrible depression in that area. Your car actually goes down and back up, really not safe at higher speeds.

They would never fix that plus there are crosswinds there.

Passed by this scene shortly after. Imagine you left your car to wash and came back to see it totalled!

The lady driving the CRV had just picked up ice cream for a birthday party. It was packed in dry ice as she was heading south.

Apparently the gases from the dry ice caused her to become disoriented and she lost control. She didn't even know how she ended up in Tunapuna

This was a 6 cars were affected. No major injuries.

Sauce: me, I was drinking rum at Pasea village at the time and did the investigation. It was in the vicinity of A1 auto.
