Any of those rolled off the factory floor like that?

That's what I'm talking about. Can you purchase a Hilux from Toyota looking like that? Or do you buy the Hilux and then have to take it somewhere else?

downfall about the toyota 4x2 is there is no intercooler and max speed is 160kph {170 downhill}...no intermittent wiper ,no clock<

700 km on $100 deisel... .... rides better than ranger imo

No intercooler: I ask the rep about that when I was looking at the engine, and the rep tell me if you put one in aftermarket you void the warranty :? That not supposed to improve performance/reliability?
Or they just want you to buy the higher model with the TMIC if you want more horsies under the hood?

No intermittent wipers: in this day and age????

Anyone know if you can fit an external oil cooler to that engine?

Of these vehicles, which one is easiest on diesel? (fuel economy)

I think the 3.0d hilux manual is $214,000

Noobie, the red hilux in the pic is actually a factory trd hilux and will soon be available in the uk and australia.

As for the 2.5 d hilux, hold strain a bit, the new model will be out soon. Basically the same body cladding and design, but it will carry a beefed up 2.5d with a massive intercooler.

The Toyota dealer suggested that I buy NOW, as there is a price increase comming at the beginning of October (maby a 5000 jump.) So I paying 5 gran for an intercooler package esentially?

By the way, when i was checking for the safety rating of these vehicles, look what I found:
http://www.edmunds.com/nissan/frontier/2008/review.html

Nissian rules????? So what about the one star euro rating? :?

11.4 seconds 0 to 60 is kinda slow though...for the Navarra.

Team Loco, Maby you can shed some light on something. You work on armouring these vehicles right? How much does it cost to put some good steel to guard your grill, a tow hook/trailer hitch and lighted sidesteps on these vehecles?

Do you also do skid pans?

Asv with many other makers out there, everyone is trying to cut costs one way or the other. The new hilux doesn't seem as tough as the old one. Guess they made up for it with power and comfort

Came back from a test drive over the weekend...those who thinkin bout the Ford, THINK QUICK.

They had a July sale and you were getting the 2.5 4x2 automatic with the works for $199k, but that done. I think it gone back up to $214k and they say price goin up again jus now. (to $219k I guess around budget time)

The thing I heard is that the Ford's automatic transmission for these vans only around for a couple years, like 4 so they ain't really know anything bout it. One guy even returned it (South branch) within a month of purchase cuz the transmission gone thru and they cudn't figure out wat was wrong.

When it came to the actual test run, the L200 seemed to be alot better than the Ford going through the same route in both instances. Not to mention the back seat area of the Ford was TINY! U mite have to cut off from yur knees to get into and out of that back seat. Even the back doors seem like they were made for little kids. The L200 seems to have more space in the backseat, but the seat itself seems to be a bit small, which mite account for the additional leg room.

Also, I heard alot of people saying that the interior of the Ford has stayed basically the same for the past 4 years, but I understood what they meant when I hadda be turnin and pullin the hand brake in this day and age!

Between those two (Ranger and L200) the Mitsubishi won out, hands down.

L200 vs Hilux in the turns. hilux nearly flipped. From the description, it seems this L200 had some sort of Stability control package.
