so far given my budget, I've been looking at these:

T3 Canon - fav
T1i Canon - 2nd

Nikon D3100

These are all in my price range. I would like your professional input on the above and why you would choose. I'm personally leaning on the T3, dunno what your opinions are but really appreciate some direction.

They would all take excellent pictures, as i always say, If you have no specific thing you're looking for in a tool...Go take all for a test run..see how it feels to you and buy it. Dont be fooled by marketing guys please.//though i must say the noise handling is terrific on teh d3100 for that price..but im a nikon junkie ha ha >.>

SLR shortage, prices going to go up only... Canon and Nikon not shipping right now because of the quake in Japan.

Is either wait it out, and I hearing all kinda estimates that by next 3 months things will normalize, but you know how prices like to go up and not come down. or buy now before things really get high, but you have the interest.

well the t3i entered at 899 , and its holding

the t2i was 760 just b4 the tsumani and now its crossing 800.

might as well pay 100us more and get the flicking t3i , but most places are sold out on both the t2i and t3i.

doing a comparison between the Canon 40D, Canon 60D and Canon 7D

http://www.dpreview.com/products/compar ... anon_eos7d

The only major difference between the 60D and 7D is

Number of focus points
LCD dots
Continuous drive (fps)

and the 7D cost $500 US more.....

but some reviews prefer the 50s over the 60d, because the 60d is more focused on video and isnt much of an improvement over the 50d in terms of "shooting"
