would love to go public, unfortunately we don't get paid for pageviews
it's just a nice big number we as an online community can boast about.

we don't charge for ads by impression (CPM) either - we charge a flat rate - so big pageview and visitor numbers don't immediately result in more $$$

you mean that 8500+ visits came from people who didnt know the difference between the search field and the location bar in their browser??

1200 of them even put in the http:// in their search!!!!!

that's almost as bad as a company's phone operator telling you that she can't just give out their website address because it's private information
or give you their gmail email address instead and wrong and strong that that IS their website address
