Should I do A Levels to go into IT

OP, u seem unsure on what u want to do. my advice, get a job. see how the real world feels. it sucks, you'll realize this soon. As really aint sayin much unless ur future degree etc requires it. get a job and feel out what u really wanna do, jump to different jobs if you need to.

btw, being able to build a computer doesnt mean ur good at IT eh. From ur posts also, seem like u wanna be stuck in a technician position which most of the time you get paid crappy.


think what u wanna do. find someone in that position where u wanna be in 10 years time or so. contact them and speak with them. hear their story. its worth a shot.

I've just finished writing CXC and I want to know if it is vital that I do A levels if I want to become something in the field of IT (preferably network engineer or IT technician). I don't want to go UWI St. Augustine campus because I live in South. Should I do A's or go straight to SBCS, COSTAATT or SAM?

Dude why IT? Theres no money in IT. They have a zillion IT guys in trini and they are low paying jobs.

Keep this thread around if possible. There is alot of great advice and info in here for other guys in similar positions. I myself reading up everything here because I unsure WTF I want to do at this point in my life. I working how much years now, real life is really sheit. Wish I could go back to my primary school days yes...best days ever.
