Possibly true.....but not in the immediate future. RHAs don't hire interns. Only the Ministry of Health hires interns. Completion of internship is a requirement for obtaining full registration (or temporary registration depending on where you graduated) with the Medical Board....only then can you seek employment with the RHAs or privately. Her only route to getting licensed in T&T now is to complete her internship in another country that is acceptable to the Medical Board, then apply for registration with the MBTT.

that is expected,
interns eventually want to work in private practice and will get more experience and money by working under a senior in their private practice
plus it is necessary if you wanna be a surgeon to get guinea pig experience with them in the operating theatre

public health system is really a feeder for the senior private system
