^ I use www.usvideo.org to get pandora, hulu, hulu plus, netflix, vudu, crackle etc

you can use hotspotshield for pandora as it doesnt need too much bandwidth - but the sound quality suffers

I got one. Love it. Thinking about jailbreaking it, may or may not. Fine with the way it is for now, but it would have been nice if it did have a browser. Use it to watch the Keynotes & stream media from my iPhone.
We've come so far from having to pull out a bunch of aux cables to plug into a tv to show content...

Thats because your credit card was not issued by an American bank (eg Bank of America), iTunes US store will only accept US issued credit cards........

So the only option currently is iTunes cards.....

^ you need to get IP masking from www.usvideo.org

they will give you a primary and secondary DNS which you should change on your router

once that is done you can restart the router and you will be able to access netflix, pandora, vudu, hulu, hulu plus, crackle etc etc from any device on your network (PC, XBox, PS3, Wii, bluray player, TV etc) - if you have a wireless router you can access these things on your phone or tablet too.

Remember the above video from a Microsoft Phone 7 Mango demo in April? The then-current Apple browser (remember, that was pre-Nitro) didn’t fare so well against Android and Windows Mobile in a browser test that Microsoft set up. It registered a 2 frames per second vs. Microsoft’s Mobile IE score of 26. Apple was originally handicapped because the iPhone has more pixels to render: 640×960 vs. 480×800.

The Nitro update certainly helped out a bit bumping Apple’s score mildly.

However, running that same test on a iOS 5 iPhone 4 with the latest version of Safari is a totally different story….

Winrumors ran (and we confirmed – below) that the iOS 5 Beta’s Safari actually blows by the experimental IE 9 in Mango and scores a 31.

iOS 5 will probably ship before Mango and it just beat it on Microsoft’s own unfair to begin with test

Same way as a locked model. Just follow the instructions based on which firmware you have.

While Apple has indeed been giving some developers access to a device known as the iPhone 4S — an iPhone 4 with upgraded internals — BGR has independently confirmed that the next-generation iPhone will not merely be an upgraded iPhone 4 as had been previously rumored. We have been told by a reliable source to expect a radical new case design for the upcoming iPhone, though we have not been given any additional details surrounding the design of the new iPhone case. What about a release, then? The consensus is that Apple is going to announce the next-generation iPhone at the company’s annual September event, traditionally focused on iPods, but we have heard it’s quite possible Apple will break tradition. According to our source, Apple may hold an event in the beginning or middle of August to announce the new iPhone, with availability to follow in the last week of August. We’re not sure if that means the iPod event will be moved up slightly, or if this will be an iPhone-specific event. Thisismynext reported earlier that the upcoming iPhone 5 would feature a new teardrop-shaped case design.

------

Android’s market share is on the decline for the first time ever. Phones based on Google’s mobile operating system hit a snag in March… and it’s likely to continue in the U.S. when the iPhone 5 is released in September, says one analyst.

Android’s share of the U.S. smartphone market in March fell to 49.5 percent from 52.4 percent, according to IDC. By contrast, Apple’s share rose to 29.5 percent, up 12.3 percent during the same period. “This is just the beginning of Android’s share loss in the U.S.,” Needham’s Charlie Wolf claims. He forecasts more Verizon subscribers will switch to the iPhone when Apple launches in September the iPhone 5, a GSM and CDMA handset. Additionally, the Apple handset may also become available on Sprint and T-Mobile, meaning the device will be available to all U.S. subscribers, no matter the carrier.

What’s more, the September launch of the iPhone 5 could be the real test for Verizon. Wolf describes the initial launch in February as “tepid.” This also points to a reason why Apple did not announce the next iPhone at its WWDC in June, as the tech giant has done traditionally. To unveil the new iPhone then would have “upset Verizon subscribers” who just bought the iPhone 4, according to the analyst.

Image

The iPhone 4 is now the most popular camera on Flickr, with a caveat. More on that in a minute. The smartphone's 5-megapixel shooter has finally surpassed the Nikon D90 as the top camera on the photo hosting and sharing service. It's been a slow and steady rise for the iPhone 4 since its debut in June 2010. The cameraphone now sits above the powerhouse D90, the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi and the EOS Rebel T1i.

Not surprisingly, the iPhone 4 also dominates in the cameraphone category with its closest competitor, the iPhone 3G, a distant second. The only non-Apple product in the top five cameraphones is the Android-powered HTC Evo 4G which sits at the bottom along with the iPod touch.

This isn't the first time an iPhone has topped the Flickr popularity chart. In 2008, the original model reached number one despite its 2-megapixel camera.

The caveat is in Flickr's fine print. Specifically, it notes that "camera phones are undercounted." Statistics reflect the service's ability to identify the camera used to take a photo of video. Flickr admits that it's successful "about 2/3 of the time." Still, Flickr receives over 4,800 images shot with iPhone 4s per day, accounting for about 9 million photos. The iPhone 3 remains the overall champion, accounting for almost 36 million submissions.

According to DailyTech, Apple is gearing up to launch a television set business this fall. The site claims that a former Apple executive spilled the beans on the project, saying ”you’ll go into an Apple retail store and be able to walk out with a TV. It’s perfect.” This TV display is said to be powered by Apple’s popular iOS (currently runs on the iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and Apple TV). The report also says that Apple will not be developing the large screens in-house, but will work with an OEM, like Samsung, to get production rolling.

An actual Apple television set has been rumored for years now with reports from analysts like Gene Munster, and cryptic official job listings from Apple. Apple currently sells a $99 Apple TV, iOS-powered set-top-box. Essentially, this Apple TV display is said to be a large screen with a built-in Apple TV. In addition, Apple has been researching OLED technologies – perhaps that research ties into this rumored TV set. DailyTech has been a reliable source for information within Intel, but has no track record regarding rumors on the subject of TVs.

------

Spelling Nazis, it ain’t a typo – the episode is in fact entitled Summer Pignic, not Picnic. It’s about smashing pigs after all. So kick back, relax and enjoy the trailer. The video doesn’t reveal much apart from hinting “One bird, one mission: Save the eggs from the green pigs” (but you already knew that if you were a fan of the Angry Birds series).
