any of allyuh notice how the wind and clouds blowing in the opposite direction for more than a week now?

i try to google as to why that happening, if iz just a normal thing but i didn't find anything.

yes wind blowing from the west and sometimes west south west.

I believe it is called western convergence due to thermal dynamics.

Hook or other weather people can explain it better.

I thought it was caused by that low pressure that's just north-east of the islands now.

It's sucking everything up. Granted the north-easterly trade winds have kinda slowed down a bit so it's making this seem more noticable.

Those winds pulled part of a south american thunder storm right over South.

Not a drop of rain for Palo Seco

Well, it's showing that the wind is coming from the sout-south-east. The system has moved from the east to a more northern position compared to us so that's why it's now showing like that. Over the weekend, especially Saturday, it would've been showing more west.

A weather system, even a cloud, is an area of low pressure, an area of no cloud is high pressure and air will move from an area of high to low pressure. So if there was a high over venezuela and a big low to the east of us, we would get a westerly wind like we did over the weekend.
