Sirloin..... quality is so good you can taste the flavor thinly sliced raw which is what jean was doing in that pic we were sampling before slicing

sirloin is great

what's the price of the ribeye?

ribeye with good marbling is awesome meat to grill or pan sear. Should only be done medium to medium rare IMO.

Thanks SR , a few weeks ago I called Dave for directions to Fair and Square , I bought the largest square coal pot they had . To carry that to the car park was fun , nothing much to hold on to , light at 20-25odd pounds but in a double garbage bag very slippery .......

Looking now to make the cover , chimney and handle . The square mouth of the coal pot measures 14.25 inches x 14.25 inches while the grill that it came with measures 15 x15.

yeah them coal pot made via sand casting so they can't make handles as part of the casting
you will have to drill holes and bolt on a handle.
or better yet weld a frame around it with handle as part of the frame.

not hard to do

bought my coal pot there last yr but i bought d circle 1 that has handles on it , reason is relatives have d square 1 but i find d corners dont get as much heat & takes longer to cook , so i opted for circle model which also holds d coals more uniform inside & heat is distributed evenly

only lil fault it has is d steel bottom grill is welded too far apart so d coal falls through , i put in a piece of wire mesh that is 1\2" squares & that solved d problem

for $400 or 500 iirc who can complain ... :D

Nice , will put in a smaller mesh to solve that issue , maybe some diamond mesh or something . Do you use a cover ?

Did some chicken on Sunday , the second set came out better for me than the first . Local hard wood coals , in two hours that bag was done. Chimney worked well . I did not need a cover just had to move around the pieces a bit more .
