Wait BP going down hill??

That bad.....with all the new projects they undertaking I thought things might be better.

Can you be a little more specific with respect to "no improvements for the workforce"?

Who providing the contracts for the labour?

How bad are the conditions? Platform falling apart?

Let me put it this way when you have a platform with only two toilets for 30 men and then telling you it is not their problem. How well do you think that would sit with massy, stork and kenson personnel who are in house?

That's tough on land in an office building let alone out there.....UGH.

Wait we refering to the BP or the TSP platforms?

I assumed that the BP Platforms were slightly newer so they shouldn't have level of problems.

Hell what do I know.....

BP but if there slogan of one team was true it would of never been so. Badge men treating contractors like slaves and pushing an environment where the only way to get ahead is to destroy your coworkers by any means necessary then what hope do we have.

TSP is petronas now and from what I'm hearing things real bad. They basically have to be very crafty as to how they are doing their maintenance on the equipment. The camps are falling apart etc

Boy they have no money to buy spares or the equipment is so old that they are unavailable and so they can't afford to send out to get it made. I know jsl has ops and kenson has maintenance and petronas isn't putting out money for anything but cutting everything that they could

How old is Amherstia compared to the others mentioned in the thread?

Has off-shore cuisine continued to be first class?
This aspect to off-shore life as always been given the highest consideration for employee health and moral.

Lawl

The amount of money (first hand experience) Bp spends in maintenance isn't funny, same applies to spares.

Those contractors sound like TSP platforms he was refering to.

I think that Perenco bought a percentage (70%) of the Repsol platforms out there, and the contractors agreed to stay on.

Stil the recent frequency of the platforms changing hands so often can't be a healthy sign.

Don't know how it has impacted the work environment.

I have valid Tbosiet and h2s training and have been offshore over a dozen times on various platforms. Looking for work as well.

Yeah, spoke to some guys involved in the project. Thanks. Seems like it is quite a substantial upgraded being undertaken and that floatel would be around for some time.
