That looks like a sea robin/ batfish than a crappo. Sharks urea circulate in the blood supply as a unique osmoregulatory system in contrast to regular fish that use ion pumps. Solution, bleed em and enjoy.

I had an 8 footer, could only get it open about 10ft diameter at most if I was lucky
