It really is a great opportunity for the 25+ ppl I know about that have full CPL(commercial) Helicopter licenses and are waiting for a job... not to mention all the Fixed Wing ppl who are waiting for a job.

It's an opportunity like no other when you think about it. You get training on a medium twin turbine helicopter that is quickly becoming the new type of choice... the AW139. PLUS, you will get military training inclusive of the NVG(night vision goggles).

If I fell in the required age bracket(18-24) I might have applied for it !!!

As I said, this is gonna be huge!

Don't worry hot blue, BCO as you know is handling local training, so don't be surprised you end up as a CFI(H)/TRE/IRE on a short service commission as a Flight-Leader or Squadron-Leader!

You can't fly for hire (legally) with just a PPL. You definitely need to have at least a CPL.

Most people out of Briko go abroad to do the CPL rating and CFI rating so that they could come back to Briko after and be paid to teach to fly and more importantly build flight hours and experience!

Speaking of flying... I need to renew my PPL permit! :oops:

DEFINITELY AGREE !!!
In the last couple years there have been an explosion of new pilots in the field especially helicopter pilots. Cloud9 Helicopters made a killing off trinis under false advertising IMHO !!!

Different types of instructing
You have ground school instructors and flight instructors, some are both;

The point of it is really to make up the hours of experience, not so much the money.
That being said, you can't really calculate your take home, because it's per hour for flight instructing and i believe per student for ground school.
