Anacondas are indigenous to Trinidad and were always here. Females are bigger than males. The reason you now aware of snakes of this size is because they rarely come out of the water. They are one of the most stealthiest snake being able to hide in less than a foot of water.They use this stealth to catch their main prey caiman. So no dog and cat will go missing if an anaconda is around. UNLESS THEY GO IN THE WATER. And that small in the amazon they found tracks two feet wide!
