You have about 4 grams of glucose total in your blood at a postprandial time and about 100 grams of glycogen stored in the liver.) Not when it is on dietary ketone metabolism. When a body is ketone adapted it would burn fats for energy. There is no starving mode then. Just continual fat burning to obtain the BMR.

Any tips on how to get the body Ketone adapted?

Not seeing anything in the body building thread.

thanks for the info btw.

Everyone is different. If you lower your carb intake and do IF and watch your input calories vs. your BMR it usually works. Other people have to do a full out ketogenic diet with exercise. Either way, too many carbs is not the way of healthy living despite what everyone has been telling us for the last 40 years or so. There has been some serious misinformation on the very important role of fats and cholesterol in our diet and effects on health.

Sugar is our generation's drug. Tobacco was the last's.

Seeing a film called FED UP that just came out where they got Bill Clinton on the team on how the USDA has been screwing Americans for the last 50 years with their diet recommendations. And now 33% of the population is obese with 50% predicted by 2030. Because they followed the USDA dietary guidelines. (We follow a western diet more or less in Trinidad, so it applies to us too. I hear people saying doubles are bad because of the oil. Ha! it's because of the flour. Though processed vegetable oils are bad. They used to use a lot of coconut oil here in Trinidad, one of the best fats for our health, but somehow that got demonized by wrong research too and was switched to hydrolyzed oils. Now everyone is f*cking fat and dying of heart disease!)

there is a lot of evidence that coconut oil works against Alzheimer's also.
Many say that only since coconut oil was demonized did Alzheimer's become common in many tropical countries
