What's the salary like?

T&T-based CAL pilots' wages range from TT$42,000 to $55,000.

The training is about $200k

Actually in CAL you start off as a flight engineer basically a co-pilot and the salary at least 2 years ago was 17k

Aviation is not for those that only want the money.
It takes a lot of dedication and responsibility also stress levels can be pretty high at times.
Money does come though but tbh it does not make it worthwhile considering what it took to get there.

Yes it leads to a well paying job. I did that same degree and make $19,000 base starting as a trainee engineer :D

I hear that men working in the kitchen on West jaya and Rowan makes $20,000+ in 2 weeks! A utility guy cleaning toilet could make 20k easy also working offshore.

Trainee eng getting 19k. Certain that is off shore. 19k to risk your life, be in isolation and have no life to make your company 5-10x what you are paid. After studying so hard I ain't going on no rig in the middle of nowhere for 2+ wks at a time. That's nothing to boast about na

A freelance offshore surveyor can make 500 to 700 GBP a day and can choose when he/she wants to work. Jobs can occur anywhere in the world. The jobs are also on boats not rigs and you tend to make docks visits which allow you to experience those countries. Its not for everyone thats for sure.

majority of firemen try to help out people in accidents...just saying..

at the moment all we have in this country is ah bunch ah people with scrape through degrees from fly by night institutions working OJT.

in order to get a "real good paying job" you must have the link..I know people with MSC and MBA collecting 8k ah mth...

this UTT,COSTATT,SITAL,SAMS just making people figure they "qualified"..How much private companies taking people with degrees from those institutions???

^^ didn't see UWI in the line up, so guess that UWI degrees are better than all the international degrees from the institutions mentioned.
