Russia has already done this with Ukraine. However majority of the people over there support Russia, Ukraine by right belongs to Russia. Every thing they own every accomplishment was thanks to Russia.

Ukraine signed a deal to join the EU and become a member of NATO an organization designed for the purpose of stopping Russia once and for all. They aim missile systems direct to Russia, and if Ukraine became a member of NATO it means war will be on the doorstep of Russia.

With the Iraq war which was an illegal war that destabilized the entire country and caused it to be over run by ISIS, Russia knew well the US cannot be trusted. So they went all out and invaded Ukraine this is to let America and all of Europe know who they are messing with and that Russia remains the world's biggest nuclear power.

Why do they stay in obvious targets? Or are they being prevented from fleeing to be used as shields. PS I think Israel has overreacted in this whole situation but not without provocation. This war is a simple political struggle over a piece of land not much bigger than Trinidad with leaders on both sides using religion to fan the flames of hate.
