have some vegetable sausage casings somewhere....will have to search
when making burgers i usually cut the meat in cubes, season/marinade that
so when its passed through the grinder its already seasoned and therefore less mixing of the meat resulting in a more succulent burger..(all i do is fold in an egg, form the patties and drop on the grill/frying pan)

as a non beef eater...whats the difference between those at blooms etc and locally butchered meat assuming you get the exact cut you want from the sunday market butcher?

earlier in the thread someone explained that the muscle tissue on the local beef does not make for tender meat. Regardless of how you cook it, it will be tough and chewy. I dunno how true that is but I've never come across a local ribeye that can match the imported more marbled ribeye.

I've heard buffalypso meat is excellent, but I'm yet to try it.

orr ok....expected local to be of a good quality since most local cows are grass fed but I guess its the age and fat content since they also look like skin and bones

Buffalypso has been dying from starvation in our country, they were advertising for people to come take them if they could. ALL beef is tough when freshly killed, who do you know locally that hangs steaks after butchering?

Same here

Excellent stores has the Lodge brand.
There are cheaper ones in homeland store in piarco plaza. But the lodge is one of the thickest i've seen so far.

Yup that's the cowboy, had in freezer for weeks now

I actually had a friend over n couldn't sear right away so I still took a chance n seared a couple hours after and it was still delicious.

It gave me a good idea to prep steaks in the oven and sear when guest arrive once they remain warm and internal temp.

I got my cast iron at Advance on the highway el Socorro south along time ago but I'm now putting it to good use

And yes I love raw garlic , strange but satisfying

Hi
Haven't tried Paul Grant yet, does he sell fresh cuts or cooked only?
Where is Artie's?
The mincer was at Bel Air Marabella, it set me back $800 I believe, but my intention is to make home sausages
Now I was informed of Delmano foods for local authentic sausages, interesting flavors like curry goat lol !!!!
