trying to downgrade from 5.1 to 5.01

have tinyumbrella running but i'm getting a 2005 error when restoring, any help on this one?

on the unlock thing for 5.1---- SAM is supposed to work but after i put the AT&T sim in its still not activating on digicel's network and the restore back to 5.01 is only available on redsn0w for the A5 devices

Yeah I've experienced the same thing. Had to go back to using the gevey sim plus temporarily.. For now.. Someone's checking up on how to reactivate the Sam unlock. Il get back to you if it works next week or so!

yeah the SAM trick doh wuk with the 4.12.01 baseband, if you didnt upgrade the baseband there is ultrasn0w fixer that can be downloaded to unlock... still having issues downgrading--- have to go to 4.3.5 cause thats the only IOS still being signed by itunes and keep getting errors, just recovered from the looping problem...uggh

I was really amazed at how easy 5.1.1 was tho. Really simple. Plug in a boom. All the magic happens automatically.

Side note: I actually didn't install app sync I didn't realize since last time I stopped using cracked apps.
I'm really shocked the appshopper team wasn't bought by apple yet. Their app really is nice.

nah hoss doh diss d guy....from what i hear bout idynamic's jailbreaks is that he also adding a whole setta other content u cant normally get otherwise for u on ur device included with the price of the JB...xmbc, a netflix acct, a WORKING trinidad navigation app and tons more....IMO it worth it....i can JB my idevices for myself but if all this included in his JB then i hadda admit i pretty eager to check him to do it for me....if anything i'd let him do my ipad for me and i'd do my iphone for myself

I used to do the same thing, I was one of the first ppl selling iPhones and more so fixing and doing hardware repairs on iPhones.. shiit i remember when you had to use apptap and SSH to unlock the iPhone on 1.0.2 using gunlock and AnySim via CHMOD and terminal on the phones lol... took 20-40 mins+ per phone, lots of coding etc.. (who here remember the days of *#307# jailbreak lol) that's when a jailbreak and unlock was worth some money, cause it was really rocket science then... not point and click

if my mind works correctly I used to follow your blog when the 1st iPhone came out and Geohot unlocked it , got mine a couple months after and been following mytriniiphone.com around that revolution

But what's this bout activating with an AT&T sim? Gevey sim kinda annoying to use particularly having to reboot the phone and redo the activating process.. Which isn't long.. But to remove sim and put it back in.. Is like I walk around with a pin all d time Incase I have to reboot my phone or battery died.

i eh bringing down id's skill eh, i am glad there are people like him around because honestly it gets really frustrating to deal with these things now (more the logistics etc not the actual process) but back then before iOS 3... jailbreaking was a skill.

It's not always that simple for someone jailbreaking for the first time. With the different versions of the OS, baseband and model phone and jalbreak software to use.

I called AT&T and they unlocked my 3GS within a week. The csr didn't ask me anything about the background of my phone. They just asked for the Imei and within a week, factory unlocked! An the phone was bought Bnib july 2011

I saw online on the Apple Store U can get the 4s for 199 with a 2 yr contract or just buy it stand alone for 500 bucks. if i were to buy an Iphone 4s and take the two year contract from sprint, hence saving me 300 us if i were to buy it stand alone, can the phone be unlocked and used in Trinidad and function accordingly with either bmobile/digicel networks?
