I find it too laggy when you try to zoom and pan inside a window.

Google Chrome for Windows/Mac is also based on Safari.

not sure why

the only thing that the browser uses to store your login information is a cookie.
If cookies are not working then it will not be able to keep you logged in.

we use phpbb to sign users in, not wordpress, even if you sign in from the homepage.
do you have this problem with trinituner alone?
do you have this problem with other phpbb forums?

Trinituner and Blizzard's family of websites. The later can be fixed by deleting cookies.

Well the issue might be the cookie permission folder becoming corrupted although I tried that fix. Maybe it's just one of those jailbroken iPhone things.

^ I'm pretty sure flash wont be supported

Flash is even being removed from Android devices
Flash won't be supported in Android 4.1, new installs to be disabled on August 15th
http://www.theverge.com/2012/6/29/31252 ... -supported

In the wake of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean's announcement this week, Adobe has issued a note saying that it hasn't been developing and testing Flash against it and there won't be any "certified implementations" offered — in other words, the age of Flash on smartphones is effectively drawing to a close. The company had previously opted out of supporting Chrome for Android — the heir apparent to Android's built-in browser — so this announcement comes as little surprise now that Chrome has come out of beta. If you still want to install Flash on your Android phone, now is the time to do it: Adobe says that it will be disabling fresh installs from Google Play on August 15th, meaning you'll only be able to update after that point if you already have it installed.

If you're on bmobile the updated carrier bundle prevents hotspot use unless you jailbreak.

Read around and found that the only way to unlock it was to either approach the network (which I don't know who it is) or use SAM's method which is now blocked by Apple.

For those more in the know about Apple products, is there anything else I can do or do I just have to wait?

I think I saw an ad from tuners that can get it unlocked for a fee.

http://www.cellunlocker.net/apple-iphon ... lution.php

Found this today. Was directed here by an AT&T CSR some weeks ago but the price was too high. It's $50 USD cheaper today. I just placed my order.

That would explain why. I was jailbroken and relied on UltraSn0w for an unlock in the past. Now I'm unlocked by apple, and didn't see a need to jailbreak.

^ yes it does. The iPad with 4G would be factory unlocked unless you take it from a carrier with a data plan.

Apple’s new iPhone 5 set to be released next month?

Launch likely to be two months ahead of schedule
By Joseph George
Published Monday, July 02, 2012

For all those who thought October was too long to wait for the next new iPhone, here’s some good news.

Apple is planning to release the iPhone 5 in August, two months ahead of schedule.

The firm is facing stiff competition from Samsung, especially the Galaxy S3 smartphone, moves are afoot to hit back at the Korean electronics giant.

Taiwan’s Central News Agency quoting local media said shares of Taiwanese suppliers to Apple had moved up following the reports.

It was originally expected that Apple would release the iPhone 5 in October, like it did last year when it released the iPhone 4S.

However, with growing competition from Samsung electronics it is no surprise that Apple wants to get into the race much earlier.

Earlier, a top Samsung executive was quoted by Reuters saying that the company expects sales of its Galaxy S3 to exceed 10 million units by the end of July, making it the fastest-selling device.

JK Shin, head of Samsung’s mobile division is reported to have told journalists that Samsung expects second-quarter results to be better than its first quarter – during which it nearly doubled its profits from a year earlier.

Meanwhile, Apple’s battles with Samsung within the United States continue with a judge banning the sale of Samsung Nexus smart phone within the US.

The same judge - Lucy Koh in San Jose, California on Tuesday had blocked the sale of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 computer in the patent and trademark-infringement lawsuit over smartphones and tablets.

Apple pays $76m to settle China iPad case

SHANGHAI Apple Inc has paid $60 million (S$76 million) to Proview Technology (Shenzhen) to end a dispute over the iPad trademark in China that saw the world's most valuable technology company engaged in a protracted legal tussle with a near-bankrupt Chinese firm.

The announcement of the court-mediated settlement was made on the web site of the Higher People's Court of Guangdong province.

Apple and Proview Technology (Shenzhen), a unit of Hong Kong-listed Proview International Holdings Ltd, have been negotiating to reach a settlement since the Higher People's Court of Guangzhou in February conducted a crucial hearing on the case.

The case moved to the high court after the Intermediate People's Court in Shenzhen rejected Apple's complaint against Proview Technology over the infringement case.

The lawsuit had hampered some sales and delayed the launch of the new iPad in China. Prior to the launch, Proview requested Chinese authorities in scores of Chinese cities to order re-sellers to take all iPads off their shelves.

The iPad dominates China's tablet PC market with a more than 70 per cent market share, though Lenovo Group Ltd's Lepads and Samsung Electronics Co Ltd's Galaxy Tabs have been gaining traction.

Apple is experiencing heady growth in Greater China - China, Hong Kong and Taiwan - with second-quarter sales in the region increasing several fold to US$7.9 billion.

@ Duane.

If that article holds any truth, then I think he next iPhone is going to have problems. Rushing to release it ahead of schedule seems like a bad move unless it's already completed and they weer waiting to drop the bomb on any competition

Anyway s little of the iPhone and iPad topics . What do you think about the Apple routers Vs the Asus routers ? Personally I find that the Asus runs much better and gives you a better speed to range ratio. The apple router on the other hand speeds sometime are cap to 30 Mb wireless , while on the Asus the speed throughout is 300 MB.

There were rumours that apple released the 4S because the 5 wasn't ready just yet

chances are the iPhone 5 is done and just waiting to be announced in October so setting the launch date forward will affect 4 and 4S sales but not R&D.

Apple doesnt release anything before it's time or rush - so that I'm pretty sure is not an issue

When does iOS 6 get released? When that's done I think that would be an indication that the iPhone 5 is ready. The hardware has should be ready before the software.
