Bulletin#
Date: Sunday 31st of October 2010
ISSUED AT:08:36AM
Trinidad and to a greater extent Tobago have been
experiencing cloudy to overcast conditions with
showers and thundershowers over the last six
hours. This is due to a feeder band into
Hurricane Tomas.
Although Trinidad and Tobago are not within the
immediate environment of Hurricane Tomas, showers
and thundershowers will continue to develop for
the next 3 to 5 hours over both islands.
Moderate to heavy showers can be expected along
with isolated thundershowers capable of producing
1 to 2 inches of rainfall. These downpours can
yield moderate to severe street or flash flooding
and strong bursts of gusts in excess of 40kmh.
There is also the potential for
landslides/landslips.
Citizens are advised to be vigilant and cautious
given the forecast weather conditions. All
necessary measures must be adopted to preserve
life and property.
THIS IS NOT A TROPICAL STORM / HURRICANE WARNING.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service is
closely monitoring this weather situation and will
issue another bulletin if the situation warrants.
