Curious as well, does any one have problems with depth perception, sharpness of images, runny eyes or any other problems since their surgery, and where is the best place in Miami recommended?

I know some one that did the procedure @ LV, after his eyes where very sensitive to light etc, he had to go to Miami to have the problems rectified.

but trevor is neither a optometrist or a eye surgeon

also to add to this, an optometrist is not a doctor either and should not perform any surgical procedure on an eye. they prescribe and dispense glasses.. nothing more.

make sure an ophthalmologist (eye doctor) does the lasik or watever else u need done

Do you wear glasses? You know laser eye surgery doesn't necessarily mean you DON'T have to wear glasses after?
I would never recommend laser eye surgery for anyone if it's just cosmetic reasons. There are real medical conditions that require laser surgery which an ophthalmologist and 2nd opinions will determine. But no, the complications and risks that can come up much later isn't worth it for cosmesis. Even if procedures are getting better. If the doctor has it available (and $1M USD), they are using a femtosecond laser now instead of a microtome to make the flap, which means more money for the procedure, but safer and better recovery.

Anyway, maybe you could discuss extended wear contact lenses with your eye doctor.

Just wear contacts and done. What is the point in doing surgery when you WILL NEED glasses later on in life? If you don't like a metal frame around your eyes go and get contacts.

I wear glasses and it broke due to old age. Laser vision informed me I will not need glasses till 50+ (like most ppl) and just for reading etc. Lasik seem like a good long term investment, as a new glasses is about $3/4k an would have to change every 2/3 years. Still doing my research..

and if post-operative complications arise?

My suggestion is to talk to your eye doctor about contact lenses since from your posts I understanding that you're really doing it for cosmesis and trying to justify them ablating part of your cornea with an excimer laser for cost in future glasses. When it gone, it's not growing back eh. By the way has your eye been deteriorating over the last 5 years that it costs so much for new glasses every 3 years? Laser surgery not going to make that better. Do you know your current Rx perchance?

I don't recommend him. He verbally abused my 74 year old mother because she had copies of lab reports which she was given by the Hospital for my 78 year old father. He was hoping to squeeze some money from these pensioners for the same lab tests. A nasty piece of work.
