“Find My” can now locate Apple devices that are offline, making it even easier to find your iPhone or MacBook if you ever happen to lose it.

Apple said that when a device is offline and sleeping, it sends out a secure Bluetooth beacon that can be detected by other Apple devices nearby, even the ones owned by other people. This results in a network that works to find lost Apple devices through a secure, encrypted, and anonymous signal relay.

Thanks for the appraisal, was thinking in the 8500 range. If you can make the 8k today I'll sell definitely do it.

he has One of the most sensible takes on the product. This is a workstation, built for purpose not for the average user.

The Stand? Sure it's ridiculously priced but let's be honest, who doesn't has their work rig vesa mounted in this age.

Best part of the keynote is the iPad OS, that is a HUGE pro... I already see it replacing my laptop in the near future

For people complaining about the price of the Apple XDR 32" Reference Display monitor that is US$4999

A 30" Canon or Sony 4K reference monitor is about US$20,000 and no it doesnt come with a stand

Nobody is complaining about monitor. The reviews agree the specs look excellent beyond an actual hands in review when it becomes available.

The monitor stand is another story.

The tower aka the chesse grater issue is the lowest base spec is grossly overpriced for the regular prosumer (indie video filmmaker, audio engineer, youtubers etc). The tower pricing is more in line for big entertainment companies like Disney, Lionsgate etc. Apple knows 60% of their profit comes from iphones (not including dongles and other accessories). The prosumers have some hard times ahead.

It's not a pro-sumer computer though.

Yes I’ll agree that the base or lower spec Mac Pro combos don't make sense at all.

What about daisy chaining Mac Minis and Thunderbolt 3 video card vs that low spec Mac Pro? How would that compare?
