Would anyone be interested in purchasing a new unopened M1 MacBook Air (8GB/512GB) 8 core CPU/8 core GPU Space Gray? Ordered one, received two and don’t want to go through the hassle of returning.

Cost - $7700 Not looking to make a profit just get back the equivalent spent on it.

Yes iworld carries out warranty work for Apple. I had my AirPod pros replaced by them after chatting with Apple support. They instructed me to go to iworld in west mall. No issues.

Apple Developing 'Enhanced' Under-Display Touch ID System

Most optical under-display fingerprint scanning systems use light emitted from the device's display to illuminate the fingertip of the user, which is reflected off of the fingerprint and back through tiny openings between the display pixels. A sensor beneath the display can then read the fingerprint and authenticate the user.

Due to the "low-light throughput and diffraction" caused by the display stack, the fingerprint image is liable to suffer from low contrast and low signal-to-noise ratio, making it harder to read the fingerprint and potentially increasing the time it takes to authenticate a user.

To overcome this problem, Apple proposes a system in which the off-axis angular light from the finger is captured via a series of "angle-dependent filtering options between the display and the sensor." This method can "improve the contrast of fingerprint impressions and maintain the compactness of the entire sensing system," according to Apple.

Have they stopped trying to give a runaround first though ?I tried a couple years ago and it’s only on the second time they relented

I never got a run around. Spoke with apple support via chat option August 2020. Dropped AirPods Pro at iworld in September and collected in October 2020. Zero hassle.

We do know why, many plants were shut down during the early stages of the pandemic, supply chains got disrupted and the demand just skyrocketed as new chips for cellphones, PS5, Xbox something, macbooks, EVs and GPUs. Not to mention this last year GPUs, consoles and CPUs experiences some of the most growth in speed which just upped the demand. Further to that, everyone being home decreased money being spent dining out and instead ppl bought devices. Add bitcoin mining in there too and you see why the demand is just unrelenting,

Anyone ever bought from Apple Store and skyboxed in with Aeropost?

They advertise their “1 Aeropost Way” Miami skybox address as being exempt from state online tax.

Is it really the case that if I order a phone from Apple and ship to that address (if I have an account with them) I will not have to pay the 7% Miami sales tax?

Apple is expected to try to win back professional users at WWDC by leaning in with a new more powerful M2 chip and a redesigned MacBook Pro that ditches maligned features like the Touch Bar and brings back the HDMI port and MagSafe. The new M2 is rumored to have double the processor and GPU cores, and it might not even be Apple’s top-of-the-line: the company is rumored to launch a more powerful iMac and Mac Pro sometime later this year.

As far as iOS the only disappointing thing is a lot of the announced features are US-only for a while

iPhone users have been living through that since 2007 though
until the feature is available to the rest of the world
