iphone stop working need help

how do i reset it. was checking out some installer stuff on it and when i exited the app it just started to reboot itself over and over

I have fixed worse..

if its just frozen, simply hold power and home for about 7 secs until the screen goes blank, then jsut power back on as usual, its its just rebooting, then you'll probably have to restore it (if it keeps re looping the apple logo - what did you install??) - i would stay away from Installer, use apps from Cydia only, i dont trust anything from installer

what firmware u using????
yellowsn0w or turbosim?

if u have a .ipsw file on ur pc u can jus go into itunes hold down shift and click restore.....
but i would preferr if u answer my questions 1st before u mess up anything seriously.......

don't really know much about the phone only got it for xmas and never really interferred with any of the settings. it's the 1.2 version and it was already unlocked. so it was just to insert my sim.. today i was just checking thru the installer and reading some of the apps available and maybe i did something i shouldn't of done. when i exited the phone started i guess to update itself but insted of just returning to the main screen it was repeatedly restarting. eventually got it to show the apple then tried to turn it off and didn.t until i held down both the home and off buttons.

check out iClafiried.com and update your iPhone (2G) to 2.0-2.2.1 unlocked and you'll be a very very happy camper

very old. 2.2.1 would bring the world of applications that would bring new boundaries. Then there's 3.0 (not yet though)
