South American Dates Announced For Beyonce's 'I AM...' World Tour

NEW YORK, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Superstar and cultural icon Beyonce is extending her 2009 "I AM..." World Tour to South America for a series of live concerts beginning Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Parque Planeta in Florianopolis, Brazil. The two-week run will end in the Caribbean on the island of Trinidad on Thursday, February 18, 2010 (see itinerary following).

The tour dates mark the first time the international entertainer will perform live concerts in South America. Fans in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru will finally get the chance to see the show that critics around the world have called "spectacular" and "dazzling." Recently the "I AM..." World Tour was named the world's #1 concert attraction by Billboard Magazine's Hot Tour rankings.

The tour kick-off will come right after the 52nd Annual GrammyÃ‚Â® Awards on January 31, where Beyonce leads the pack of GrammyÃ‚Â® nominees this year with an astounding ten nominations including the Top 3 GrammyÃ‚Â® categories (Song of the Year for the anthem, "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)," Record of the Year for "Halo," and Album of the Year for I AM...SASHA FIERCE. It is the first time she has been nominated in the Album of the Year category. The nominations wrap up a brilliant year for the artist after the release of her third solo multi-platinum, globally successful album, I AM...SASHA FIERCE.

On sale dates for four Brazilian shows have been determined. Sao Paulo will go on sale on December 19 followed Florianopolis on December 21, Salvador on December 22 and Rio de Janeiro on January 5. simply because its Beyonce. Over produced Pop Music that sounds great on radio and will not be the same at a large scale over-the-top performance. Unless of course she brings her Auto-Tune with her.

Not a real Concert, not worth my time and money.

DVDs are completely different than live shows. Plus the venue that live show was recorded in is probably years beyond anything you will see in QPS.

So until you back up your opinion with some real concert time (other than Soca monarch of course), I will take you seriously, fanboy.

If you listen to that videophone sheit, you will hear how much better lady gaga's voice is than beyonce's.

Also, Gaga sings when she is live, Beyonce sings some stuff and has a voice track in the background.

Would rather seeing Shakira or gaga over beyonce. The conmcert experience from Beyonce would be a helluva spectacle though.
