Golden Girls' Star Rue McClanahan Dies

Rue McClanahan -- who played Blanche Devereaux on "Golden Girls" -- has died.

Rue's manager, Barbara Lawrence, says the actress passed away at 1 AM this morning at a hospital in New York after she suffered a massive stroke on Monday.

Barbara says Rue's son, sister and nephew were with her at the time.

Rue was 76.

Every year one of the Golden Girls has passed since 2008, with the deaths of Estelle Getty (in 2008), Beatrice Arthur (in 2009) and Rue McClanahan (in 2010), Betty White is now the only surviving main member of the title cast.

Good thing Betty White kicking at her age.

Rue added the word "relationship" to my vocabulary in a conversation in the show between Blanche and Dorothy. One of those things as a little kid you never forget. Will always remember her. RIP Blanche.
