It's near Peter's Plumbing

The Watch Repair Centre

Sellier St
(868) 398-5374

Fossil makes some solid watches. Yours is clear and very legible. That is rare in chrono complications in my experience. The last that time I had a chrono auto serviced, I paid enough to buy a box of quartz watches that would keep better time.

yeah it's easy to read, except for the date window. It's impractically tiny
By far the heaviest watch I've ever owned...I feel like I'm walking off to one side

Time to buy a second watch to wear on the other arm.

Seiko 5 watches are highly regarded. They are arguably the best entry level automatics you can buy.

You linked a Japan Domestic Model (JDM) which always costs more than the same model made outside of Japan.

Here's a SNZG15K1 for 20% less than the SNZG15J1. Creation Watches and Joma Shop are two very reputable online retailers of Seiko watches that consistently have some of the best prices.

I believe that you are referring to the Seiko SNK809. It may look the same but is not. It is a mid-sized watch at 36 mm, a 4 o'clock crown, 17 mm band, and a different movement.

That's a big difference from the SNZG15 at 42 mm, a 3 o'clock crown, 22 mm band, and a super-reliable 7S26 movement with 23 jewels.

I believe that it has the in-house Omega movement.

I never did get the Raven. I decided to wait... so I bought two new Protreks instead.

A Seamaster Pro Cgraph. I never heard of much difference between the two and with the Swatch Group owning so much of Swiss watch manufacturing, including both of those, you're right.

Some people really want the Japanese Domestic Models from Seiko, Casio and Citizen and are willing to pay much more for them.

Sony’s weird Wena isn’t a smartwatch, it’s a smart watch strap

Cant go wrong with Seiko especially the automatics. Best are ones that they sell on the Japanese domestic market

I've been wanting a "pepsi" for sometime now, at my wife's urging I finally bought one, I'm looking at a turtle next ( SRP775 or 777) with maybe an upgraded two tone angus or oyster strap + a couple NATO straps for variety. After that it's just gonna be strap swaps based on what look I'm going for, no need for a huge collection .... unless I get a good deal on a Rolex Milgauss

The SKX is just a watch collector's gateway drug. Sinn, Damasko, Ball, and Omega are just around the corner.
