Kevon Felmine Police have launched an investigation into the shocking discovery of a foetus in a portable toilet after a party in San Fernando on Friday night. The discovery was made around 7 am yesterday during clean up operations following the sold out Funky Monkey fete at the Twin Walls Compound, South Trunk Road. Reports indicated that an employee of Parc Disposal Ltd was siphoning sewage from a portable toilet when something stuck in his equipment. The employee switched off his machine and upon checking, found the foetus lodged in the tube.
Officers of the San Fernando CID led by ASP Zamsheed Mohammed visited the scene. The foetus was examined by the District Medical Officer for the area, who ordered its removal to the mortuary at the San Fernando General Hospital pending an autopsy tomorrow. Officers said the foetus may be between nine to 16 weeks old and is about the size of an average man’s palm. The sex of the foetus is unknown. Investigators are yet to establish how it ended up in the toilet. Acting Sergeant Bruce is continuing investigations.
