Gayle's outburst show that even carrying him as a mentor would have been wrong!

"I am speaking about Curtly Ambrose. I am singling out Curtly Ambrose, one of your own. I highly respected him when I came into the West Indies team," Gayle told The Island Tea Morning Show, a radio station in St Kitts, on Tuesday.

"When I just joined the team, I looked up to this man. But I am now speaking from my heart. I don't know what, since he retired, what he had against Chris Gayle. Those negative things he has been saying within the press, I don't know if he is looking for attention, but he is getting the attention. So I am just giving back the attention which he requires and which he needs.

"I can tell you personally, and you can let him know that Chris Gayle, the Universe Boss, have no respect for Curtly Ambrose whatsoever."

  At this point this is all a pappy show!!!

Gayle really reading his own press too much. Ambi is one of the greatest bowlers of all time. And de man only say what everyone has been thinking: that on current form, gayle is NOT an automatic pick

It also shows he's an A Class arsewipe.
If there is anyone deserving to have their say about anything cricket, Sir Curtly is one of them.

Also, Ambrose is saying what everybody in the region is saying privately: that gayle is on the team on reputation rather than performance

I dont think morgan used his spinners wisely today but in my opinion he is an exceptional captain, it also dosent help that csk batting goes deep.

Hoss you could imagine if Brian Lara made an outburst like that, holding and co would be asking for his head. Holding is very silent now

well he does call himself a boss, so he obviously can pick himself and justify himself before even performing

T20 WC started yesterday.
Qualifiers for the final 4 spots in the groups. SL, Bangladesh and Ireland (of the test teams) in with the Associates for those final 4 spots.

Bangladesh lost to Scotland yesterday but Sakib became T20s highest wicket-taker overtaking Malinga.

These qualifiers should be good cricket.

Scotland topped a qualifier group that contained a test team and they have a substantially home grown team unlike a lot of associate nations with one setta expats.

Bodes well for them.

Namibia beat Ireland this morning to qualify alongside Sri Lanka for the main phase.
Or a more apt name might be South Africa A given how much South Africans they have.

Only 3, most notably David Wiese who actually played for SA, all 3 have at least 1 Namibian parent.
With a population of just over 2.5 million, i was actually surprised they made it into the final 12.
Ireland failed to qualify.
