WI vs AUS 1st test match begins in the next 20 mins.

Australia has won the toss and decided to bat first, WI will be bowling first.

Predictions?

Is it just me or is it really difficult to listen to Lara talk? I mean I started watching cricket because of him in '93 and was always a big fan of his........ but his voice is kinda girlish.

Can't understand why Chase is playing. Averages less than 20 with the bat the last few years, and he's more of a part time spinner.

Long time I have not seen WI opening partnership so assured and steady.

Tagie and Kraggie put on about 74 unbroken for the 1st wicket after Australia made almost 600 (598) /4 dec.

Yup. Young man is not afraid to play his shots either and he has already taken a few blows from the Aussies.

Braithwaite played test cricket with Shiv and now with Tage.
This has to be rare if not unique.

Edit: Holder and Blackwood also played test cricket with Shiv.

BC Lara was cautiously optimistic as he referenced Boris scoring a ton on debut in Aus but fell off thereafter. One swallow doesn’t make a summer. Tage hadda keep working

WI with an outside chance of victory on day 5. Need the captain Braithwaite to bat all day and everyone to contribute.

Regardless of the result, they've shown a lot of fight in this match.

Bish has a point.....he raised the issue that Khemraj Chanderpaul has coached two test batsmen.

Maybe WI can learn from him

Straya lost 6 wickets in total my man.

This is as good as an innings defeat!!

Imagine WI send a fast bowler called Mindley as a replacement.

Man playing in his first test match, bowl 2 OVERS and got a hamstring injury.

I thought you had to be fit to play for WI - Jimmy Adams!

Anyways, more licks for WI in the 2nd test match.
