India bowled out for 78 and England now 301/3.

India's recent wins in Australia, at home to England and now in England has masked a major problem around their top order batting which has not been clicking. They have been pulled out by lower order runs and the bowling line up but Kohli, Pujara and Rahane have been having a tough time. Kohli has gone 55 international innings without a century as of yesterday.
Pujara last struck a test hundred in Jan 2019 and is averaging 28 in that time.

Shaw and Yadav could feature in this next game

TKR lost chasing down 142.

This CPL will probably be a low scoring one. At least last year Trinidad used two grounds but all matches here are being played on one which would fatigue the pitch significantly.

Depends though, are they using the same pitch every game? Also excessive rolling throughout the prevent deterioration might make it a batting paradise.

Would be the same square not necessarily same pitch.
Good pitches require grass growth which excessive rolling would inhibit. From today to the 12th its basically everyday use.

England mash up India this morning by an innings and some runs.

India lost 8/63 in the 1st session. They did not even bat out to lunchtime on the 4th day.

I see that TKR won their game last night.

I went to sleep when they were 38/4 chasing about 123.

Jamaica posted a mammoth 255/5 yday! Russel 50 off 14 balls

Nice win for TKR last night, top order looking shaky tho...

This CPL is the ultimate audition for WICB selection panel for the t20 cup. Let's see who make the cut!

Nah they shouldn't use this as the basis for inducting new players to the WI T20 team because the performances here are against mostly domestic cricketers or washed up international players. Our T20 series we've played in the recent past should be the basis for selection to the WI T20 team for the World Cup in October.

If it was up to me nine of the eleven are already picked based on the past few international series. One batsman and one bowler to decide upon.

Not really new players but giving chances to those whose places are not yet cemented eg.
Sheppard, O.Thomas, Fletcher even the likes of Narine, C. Brathwaite...they also need to confirm the backup keeper so the likes of Hope and Ramdin etc will be trying hard to impress

Narine won't ever play international cricket again, he knows he will be called as his action still remain questionable but he can play in domestic leagues like IPL and CPL where the umpires are more lenient.

What's with the name changes for Barbados and St. Lucia to Royals and Kings respectively? Those names are not a part of Caribbean culture at all. Were those franchises bought by the owners of IPL franchises and therefore changed the name to their IPL counterparts?

Should've been in the T20 World Cup squad ahead of Edwards. But I'm guessing they want they extra pace of Edwards.

He was also the 2nd highest wicket taker in the last Super 50 cup but the WI selectors seemed to have moved past him...
Still goin strong tho!
Rather him than Edwards since he's more consistent

Fletcher better score like that against international teams in the T20 World Cup because he sure wasn't doing that in the last couple of T20 matches he played for the WI recently. WI players only good at beating up on each other in domestic competitions but once the playing international teams they fold like laundry.
