B- Blood Needed Urgently

Hey all I am asking for a donation for my 23 year old friend,
she needs two pints of B- (B NEGATIVE) blood urgently,
also she does NOT accept O- which is the universal blood donor because of her heart condition her body rejects the O-.
She needs this for a heart surgery.

Dr. Kenneth Charles made all provisions & actually got the system in operation for a few months 2010-2011 for FREE blood in the health care system.

Politics, the people working at the blood banks along with the help of the private hospitals stopped this process.

IT WAS THE ONLY TIME THE BLOOD BANK RECEIVED NO HIV+ BLOOD.

Why do the private hospitals have their own fridges in the blood bank?

Why do people in need have to beg for blood & die if they can't recieve?....while good bloods are being literally thrown away everyday because it goes bad!!!!......& it belongs to St. Clair or another private institution & given not the people in need everyday.....

........that's right.....blood has a shelf life....good blood goes bad after a while in the fridge......private institutions have fridges full of blood in the blood bank.......goes bad & gets thrown away........while people die waiting for blood

Why don't the private institutions have their own banks instead of using the public blood bank?

Why is there a blood bank & not FREE BLOOD?

Is the health minister going help?

Are you she cannot accept O- blood? If she can (which she should) it will increase the donor pool and most of the O- people I have met in the past were willing to give blood.

there is a drastic shortage of blood in the country right now, this is just one case of quite many, ppl out there dont know or dont care, ppl who can please go donate blood, no matter what blood type u are..
there are health benefits as well..

Not the case the 'banks' rely on regular deposits in order to blood available when a withdrawal needs to be made.

I have been/am/are a donor but not regularly only because of my blood type. Being O-negative is good in a way whereby you give to whoever needs blood when needed BUT it has had its down sides too; not being able to get blood from an estimated 93% of the poulation of which 40% not scared of needle.

If I deposit 4 pints every year over two years and went to withdraw that blood if needed if in an accident..it would not be there. simples. the same $100 note you put in the bank is not the same one you get when you take it out..it looks the same, smells the same but is not the same thing.

Get any friends, family etc to donate blood and once the bank has the correct type available they havr to make it available

if she had b- atleast one parent would have to be B or AB and the chances of one being negative is very high.bnegative is very rare blood

Check with http://hsctt.org/ They have regular blood drives at the Divali Nagar site. I normally donate blood there. They would help out once they have available, also I would recommend in future to also donate blood to blood drives. Once you do so and have a good relationship with members of HSCTT and need blood in future it would not be a problem. Please email them
