Even though it was only about a foot and a half long it was fairly aggressive when approached in open surroundings. Only when it had stuff close by in the yard to hide behind did it retreat
The entire underbelly was yellow.

Thats a common machete..a 'racer' and related to many others such as the tigre? machete savante etc..they love house lizards, very common,they are also aborial,climbs well..
Have a vid of one eating a lizard in my roof
not a vine/whip snake btw..
