No pal..and you would never find a Cribo in that location, they're quite rare actually....that's a common rainbow boa..

Cribo. Non venomous, eats mice, lizards, and other snakes, including the venomous ones.

i think you're referring to the Black Cribo, and yes they are quite rare. The ones that red as babies & change colors & turn black when they reach adulthood. but iirc there's another that has that brown coloration, I know that as cribo as well, I just not sure if it's the same species or a somehow related subspecies, or if the color relates to the age of the animal. Either way I'm open to correction.

Don't look much like a rainbow boa to me, but then again I can't see the head too well from that pic either

Well look bacchanal.
Went to check a bredren in he camp. Man show me a basket and tell me he starting back keeping snakes, and to look inside at d nice specimen he now ketch last night.

When I open the basket easy easy, is one HUGE bushmaster d mudda ass ketch. It was coiled up and watching me, but judging by body girth I say it hadda be at least 7". Meh whole body get cold dey one time.

Ent?

A few years back down the isles, we caught one somehow balancing and sound asleep on the very top of a 8 foot wrought iron gate in the kitchen. Thing wasn't even paying attention to us. Wasn't that big. Prolly about a lil more than a couple feet long. Still though...

Didn't have my phone on me, but even if I did, I wasn't holding that basket cover open with one hand and trying to watch no screen to take no pictures.
When dealing with venomous snakes, full attention to the head with both eyes on him is required, unless you feeling like gambling IF you can get antivenom in time.

And I don't gamble, and iirc I don't think that it have any antivenom in grande these days.

Wow what a great find, have been looking to run into one for years on the usual snake roads, have ran into almost everything but one of those..many many lanceheads as much as 4 in 15 mins , not one bushmaster though..

Couple people I know have seen them so it's just a matter of timing I guess.

From all reports they're doing well just as many other species here,in other countries you gotta go deep into the forest to see those..
