Sad. I find him somewhat insufferable, but he's a great source of entertainment and provides something different. The sport will miss him.

I've always said as a team owner I'd never hire him. Too inconsistent, seems to lose interest during races, then flashes of brilliance at the end
As a fan, he added to the entertainment and brought some novelty to a sea of young upstarts (kinda like Seb and Fred, but also with the ability to say funny stuff)
One more year would have been cool

Too many old men in the sport...time for the younger ones to try and shine a bit....

I think 36-38 is a good time to ride into the sunset and go rallying or something.

The Iceman already did rallying.

Really going to miss him when he leaves the F1 grid.

That crowd was insane

70,000 Max Verstappen fans made their way to the Dutch Formula One Grand Prix at the small beach resort of Zandvoort this weekend, COVID-19 and social distancing seemed almost like a distant memory.

Even though Alfa Romeo driver Kimi Raikkonen had to pull out of the race after a positive COVID-19 test , fans on Saturday said the virus was the last thing on their minds.

This apparently uneven treatment has already sparked criticism in recent weeks, and images of thousands of people thronging the pathways at the race circuit fuelled the discontent on Friday, as many artists took to social media to express their anger.

But health minister Hugo de Jonge said no exceptions were made for the grand prix, as the event followed the rules for hosting a large crowd, meaning all spectators needed a negative COVID-19 test to get in and had to remain in their assigned seats as much as possible.

"But there is friction between the rules and the reality on the ground", De Jonge said, commenting on the masses of people who were clearly not in their seats.

For Red Bull to let him go Helmut must feel there is no coming back for Albon at all.

They didn't let him go. He maintains a rship with them.
So this actually says the exact opposite - they're giving him a chance to prove himself. New cars next year - very different characteristics, so if he can show he's up for it, then 2023 he may be back at rbr.

The biggest thing to me is Williams showing they're noone's B team. It's no secret toto wanted DeVries in there, and he was trying to leverage the engine deal (like Ferrari did with AlfaRomeo). Good on them.

Last seat left at Alfa Romeo. I hope Mick gets it, but Zhou seems to be the front runner

Williams is probably the most improved team this season. Granted Merc and RB have nowhere to go and SF and McL can't break in to the top so that just leaves the remaining 6 teams. George Russel placing them in the points and his front row qualifying seems to have reinvigorated them a bit. No doubt they believe they can be title contenders once again once the new car is implemented with the spending and development restrictions. I agree... they know they're not a B team.

F1 is a merry-go-round....every top team eventually falls to mid-field, and in occasional cases, back markers, or even disappear. Williams is no exception

Give him a tap with the rear wheel for that 50g impact.

But seriously... That was a lifesaver today and lucky that tyre wasn't spinning under power

Happy for Daniel and McLaren winning.

But 100th win for Hamilton. He started in 4th place.

Verstappen started LAST and finished 2ND!!!! Think about that.

Lando's time will come one day.

Lando straight up yelled No to his pitwall when they asked him if he wanted inters.

People saying that Merc overruled Ham, who basically said the same as lando to his team - reality was they just mirrored Verstappen; so can't really blame McL either.
So from that regards, can't blame Lando. He's young and a bit arrogant and impetuous - just as max was recently. He'll learn.

If I'm not mistaken, Bottas and Max were the only two top drivers that read the conditions and requested the inters immediately.

People further back have less to lose if they get a tyre call wrong. They still have to work on the communication a bit as well. They did tell him the intensity of the rain was going to remain the same... It clearly didn't

Hamilton fastest in qualifying but will start behind Lando Norris because of a 10 place grid penalty for changing the engine.
