How to buy stocks in US stock market from TnT?

Any of the top investment people/firms can do this for you. Guardian, Bourse, JMMB, Republic, and manyy independent ones too.

Need some guidance looking to start off buying some shares, not US despite the title of this thread. Does anyone have experience using JMMB Investments, I spoke to a rep today, its a fairly easy process to make the account and don't even need to open a savings account with them.
I was told Grace Kennedy is a good buy and even Massy right now....

Would appreciate tips on what to be on the look out for and be wary of etc, anyone know JMMB's fee. The rep supposed to e-mail me more info later.

I'm using this company(Global Financial Traders), they train you to do it on your own through an education programme or you can trade through them for a fee of course. I'm still going through the learning programme, but I know of people who actively trading US stocks.

I currently use Pershing. You sign up for the service via FCB Brokerage .

Commissions are lower that other brokerage houses.
However still higher that typical USA brokerage firms ( e.g. e-trade)

Etoro works good for me. Fees and Spread is a lil high but I mostly scalp and day trade and not hold for long.

Agreed, Etoro is good. Load up with CC and you can cash out to PayPal then back to your CC or directly to CC (may take longer)or even better if you can open a US account and cash out there, if you work the structure good, it's a good way to aquire USD once you have a US account. You can use Etoro like a wallet...

How legit is etoro?Did you have to upload a government issued form of I.D.?If you withdrew funds to your credit card,did you have just have to withdraw the cash at an atm?

Etoro legit, been using them a while now. Yes you have to verify your account to withdraw. I withdraw to my credit card as needed without any issues.

many options available......sheppard sec, rbc, jmmb, guardian asset mgt, bourse sec, firstline, fcb/fcis, etc..........been an investment advisor for many years....pershing is the safest option....you can learn the market with simulators like ones provided on investopedia.com or you can pay a local institution to advise and execute trades accordingly.....now is a good time to take a dabble in etf type funds which is basically a fund built out with equities, and also bonds, if you have a smaller amount of usd and need the flexibility of doing seasonal deposits feel free to pm for more info.

Good day folks,

I'm new here and I would like advice on the topic in which this thread is based.

I've read through all the comments and understand how to setup an online trading account to trade on the US Stock Exchange from Trinidad.

However when I applied to some of these online stock broker sites and registering they are asking for alot of personal information such as Tax Identification Number, a scanned image of your passport / ID Card, Bank Statement etc..

Have any of you went through giving these sites that sort of information about yourself and how safe it is to do so?

Well, its a long winding story. Basically, I signed up with Etrade many years ago with about $500 US, when they were allowing TT residents. I soon forgot login and password and never bothered trying to get it back. A couple years ago, I went through the process of recovering it, and did.

So I was able to fund the account and trade. I dunno if they accept NEW accounts from TT now tbh.

Ok tuners, want to enter the US stock market. I'm thinking of online platforms such as Interactive Brokers but open to others.

My main issue is to fund these platforms with US to execute trades. Any platform accepting credit card to fund their accounts?

Also, does anyone have experience with JMMB Interactive now JMMB International Access?

FCB, Republic bank, WISE and other offer trading facilities. $35US per trade or .005%, whichever is more.

You have to provide your own U$

No reputable platform allows for funding via credit card. AFAIK

I'm aware in some countries you can fund your online brokerage account with credit cards (high fees involved) but not sure if they are open to international persons, T&T nationals, etc, or if that also applies here.

I'll make some calls during the week and post my findings.
