happened a few times with me,i think it has something to do with the internal connections or something of the sort. They were not maintenance free though.

Nah, this is a Rig thing, not me, nor car, this happened on a rig recently, and apparently not for the first time. Just trying to see if this is as common as these two events want to suggest.

I don't think those failures were on gel-type MF batteries....I do recall warnings re; case deformations, etc on those acid Mf items.

Charging batteries generate hydrogen and oxygen gas.
In batteries with vents on it, or those with the removable plugs the gasses can escape.
In sealed batteries, the gasses have nowhere to go, so swells until eruption.

Sunil and keeshor tend to abuse batts because dry cell now means music batt. They does run it down and recharge with alternator constantly rather than maintain a charge when at caura.

Wet cell massive tend to not be interested in quinam Sundays so their stuff sees lass abuse.

Dont get me started on sizing battery for music.

Optima Red Top in the Mazda since 2008. Still going strong. I leave a Battery Tender on it when the car is not in use for long periods.
