Anyone here did the Petrotrin Evaluation exam?

crap... dats really totally different exam... last yr was more practical and common sense thinking questions... not really academic based like this

the behavioral study part was shiddy...some of those looked like it had more than one correct answers according to that tuner..
y'all saw how much people were there, lawwwwwd is around 300 or more. Any idea how big the group will be petrotrin taking on?

^ 35.... theyll short list this then interview the best probly 100 or less, then give a second evaluation to the best 50, and choose 35 out of that... jus saying

wa u really saying boi.....after all this is not even permanent..is for a year training any you MAY be offered employment...so how you suppose to leave ur permanent job for this

I can't remember anyone ever being refused employment in the 11 years I have been an Operator there. You have to be really " special " to not be hired.

For folks who jus left school, UTT Tech etc...the exam would be easy, once you smart of course...

for bruddas like us who leave school, oh so...about 10 years ago...LAWWDDD..pressha...lol...

when i read d first question, i cudda deaddd....ah end up guessin dat answer yes.

tuners... if allya dnt mind i wanted to know what qualifications you all had to get a call back... cuz i did a certificate in process operations at utt but petrotin told me that they onli accepting diplomas... and utt sure as hell didnt hav any diplomas in ppo.. so i am considering doing a 2yr diploma in petroleum engineering at utt.... any thoughts??

Should be along the lines off:

1) Past work experience,
2) How you would go about learning the plant,
3) Dealing with differcult individuals,
4) What you can bring too your team/company(shift initiatives/plant optimization/team builders),
5) and "Obviously why you chose Petro".

From my interview with them and other companies its mostly HR type questions and they might throw in a technical question.

ok so the interview was ok, it had 2 parts to the interview where the first part they ask you questions to assess your competence and the second part is a practical unfortunately i was advised not to talk about the specifics seeing that i already work at petrotrin i run the risk of losing my job because the interviews are until the the 5th so if you guys see the 5th of july come and go know you didnt get tru, good luck to all the people that have interviews

Saw some of my supervisors on the panel for the interviews. I asked them how it going. They said that they are seeing real qualifications but not enough experience ,especially for the plants that really need manpower.So good luck to you all. And if you end up on my project and don't know anything, then is level cuss, then I will show you, lol.

ah man from petrotrin....... one thing i wanted to know, do you know how much $$ so we gettin during this programme?
