Remember the old guy who was running it?
They took his lease away while it was renovating. The stress killed him apparently. He was also sick, but was told that push him over.
Either way, he's dead. RIP old dude.

NP gas station robbed
BY RALPH BANWARIE Monday, December 2 2013

A 40-YEAR-OLD Jamaican national is assisting police with the robbery of a Manzanilla Gas Station — the NP Gas Station situated on the Eastern Main Road, which was opened about a month ago. Police reported at about 2.50 am on Saturday, Troy Baker, 26, a security guard employed with First Guard Security was on duty at NP Gas Station and Quick Shoppe at Manzanilla when four armed men apprehended him.

They then proceeded to tie up Baker, a Jamaican national, and place him on the ground after which they relieved him of his cellphone valued $300, and $13 cash.

While Baker remained lying on the ground, the four men used a torch to open the metal safe. They removed an undisclosed sum of cash and also took cartons of cigarettes before they escaped.

A report was made to the police and a team of police officers headed by ASP Neville Sankar including members of Eastern Task Force and members of CID responded. When the policemen arrived, they found the door leading into the Quick Shop broken and also found Baker, who was still tied up, lying on the ground. Baker is assisting police with their investigations.

He is expected, however, to be handed over to the Immigration Department when the police completes their inquiries.

That gas station has been robbed on so many occassions in its former state, looks like the same people keep doing this.....seems the police has the guard as suspect..
