I'm doing a computer project for my CIS degree. basically I'm trying to design a traffic light pre-emption system that ambulances can use so that when they get an emergency call they have the ability to pre-empt all traffic lights along their route (instantly change them to green) when approaching instead of being delayed by traffic waiting at a red light especially if there is no shoulder for cars to pull over, thus lessening response times.

i will have to address a permission letter to them and hopefully start interviews/observations a few days after and before xmas as a preliminary report is due in January 2014
