When you (could have) run side x side with tropical, seabox more expensive

IBC Express is still quite efficient, packages get manifested within a 2 hours of it arriving at warehouse.

Pre-covid I used to get packages 2-3 working days after arrival in miami, now if its arrives in Trinidad mid week, sometimes I get it on the Friday or the next monday due to the customs delays.

I am experiencing significant delay with Websource
Where packages deliver on 11 sept and register in their system on sept 15TH
It is still in Miami warehouse as of today

A next package delivered on Monday has not even been added into their system

Is this the same experience with other skybox companies

If you prealert all your packages they will register it as soon as it hits the skybox. And it will clear customs much faster.

Is like they purposely punishing you for not prealerting

I think aeropost now started this because I missed one prealert and they have an item stuck in Miami

Lol no. It's an Acer for my son.
We are only liable for shipping so when I collect next week it would just to sign and receive the item.

Next cc cycle I would get one for me.

Assuming a Phantom 3 with camera

Values in US$

Price 700
Shipping (10lbs) 30
Subtotal 730
Duty 20% 146
VAT 12.5% 110
OPT 7% 51

US$337 (TT$2290)

DJI Mavic Mini fly more cleared last week, roughly $1500 TTD total on a $500USD drone

Customs WILL detain it until you get Civil Aviation clearance then you have to take a whole day and go customs bond to get it.

Aeropost estimate is $2,375. Per tyre
Seabox estimate is $1,575. Per tyre

Much thanks Dave, I shall pursue Seabox now that I know this exist and for a lot of other items.

You should be using sea freight for anything with sizeable weight. Weight transport is meaningless to a shipping container, which can be loaded to 25 metric tons each. So the volume of the item is where the shipping calculations go.

Air shipping eats up your money in fuel to get the same item of weight into the air.

Clearly I took sea freight for granted.
