Global delays affecting amazon too for sure so that’s expected

agent007 wrote:Probably there was really an exodus of clients from Aeropost cause I find these days the collection crowds not like what they used to be. Maybe that explains why my delivery times got cut down generally by a week.
Question is who did these people flock to and how did that impact delivery times with that/those skybox companies?

you have to be careful, some of the third party vendors are very sneakish how they specify their shipping.trinibajan34 wrote:Anyone having issues after ordering items on Amazon and it taking long to reach its destination. What is the situation on the port with respect to clearing a barrel? I want to send some supplies for my family down there but wondering if I should wait since it seems really backlogged and slow. If air packages are taking a month to clear, how long a shipped barrel will take? Anyone has recent experience with a barrel?

pal the val officer could just not like your declared value, google it and put the first thing they see and hit u your deposit
this is literally what happens, your invoice aint worth sh1t
I'm guilty of this as I don't send invoices however still receive my packages and see no change in normal clearing duties as most are common and periodical purchases, again a law implemented yet not enforcedsickbad wrote:presently there seems to be no bias against those who don't declear or submit declaration values on invoices. And I think to myself do we really miss declearing ? I mean, it comes through the same time, sometimes less

Arrived in Trinidad around November 7th.
As at 20/11/2021, still waiting for Customs to open the container so no documents received as yet by the local agents.
I should buy a tube of lube for those "rental fees / storage charges" that might come up.
Will keep you posted.
