WTK Accident Compensation

Postby Black_Primera » February 8th, 2014, 4:23 pm

A relative sustained broken bones in the hip while he was a passenger in a taxi. It appears the taxi was not wrong in the accident. The other vehicle is government owned. I will like to know what compensation he is entitled to and what should be his course of action.

there is a law - pay on entry - so as to be covered in the event of an accident.
if the taxi man is right the others party insurance will have to pay. if they unwilling the injured party can sue for damages.

doesn't the taxi organization or whatever they are called handle this type of situation?providing insurance for passengers and what not...im assuming the taxi man has a taxi badge if not then they might rip him apart in court

If the taxi has full comp insurance then the taxi's ins company will pay the passengers and claim from the government vehicle.
If the taxi has 3rd party ins then the passengers will have to claim from the govt vehicle ins company.
if the taxi has no ins, then no one gets paid,, every one suks salt and taxi driver/owner gets charged for driving without ins.
