Fleeing the murder scene after killing a security guard, a gunman ran into the path of a police patrol and was shot dead during a shootout near Coconut Growers Association (CGA), Laventille yesterday.

The gunman, Curtis Charles, and three accomplices scaled the walls of CGA, at about 2 am, and confronted security guard Earlan Graham, according to the police.

Graham, 42, put up a struggle and got shot in the left side of his chest. Other security guards, hearing the gunshot, rushed to where Graham was but the four men ran off and climbed the walls again to get out of the CGA compound.

As he jumped to the ground, Charles, 24, landed a short distance from a police patrol on the Eastern Main Road. Police report that Charles, who lived at 11th Street, Beetham Gardens, began shooting and the officers returned fire, wounding him. Charles was pronounced dead on arrival at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital.

Graham, who worked for security firm Property Protectors Ltd (PPL) for 15 years, was also pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

PPL manager Wenton Bedeshie yesterday described Graham, of Bon Air West, Arouca, as a “loyal workerâ€

why these mofo b!tches always crying police brutality and victimization? dey getting too sickening now, kinda like reposts. police should keep their presence in laventille and beetham to a minimum and let them kill each other. really they are getting more and more sickening, always complaining, never contributing, a drain on society and the downfall of mankind. they blame it on oppression but they are the ones who keeping themselves oppressed.

Meanwhile, Charles’ common-law-wife, Janelle Balfour, yesterday denied the police report that Charles had a gun. She claimed he was “wilfully ambushed by the policeâ€

yesterday as a police car was leaving the barracks, a lady flagged them down and said the she was just roughed up and slapped and her phone was stolen by two men of whom she gave a discreption.

The police them proceed to the king George the 5 th park and saw the suspects one froze and the other ran , one police man ran him down on foot and told the suspect if he went any further he will shoot , the suspect dropped to his knees.

A frigging phone , those men collect level licks before and in the station
