Suspected plantain thief killed by farmer, 2 men gunned down

Southern Division police are investigating three deaths in three separate shooting incidents on Friday.

In the first incident, a 68-year-old farmer refused to fall victim to three men who had stolen bunches of plantains from his garden in Princes Town.

Police said at around 4.50pm, the farmer who lives nearby was alerted that men were stealing his crops in his garden at Borde Narve Branch Road.

The farmer went to his garden and caught the men loading the stolen crops into a vehicle, police said. He called out to the men and one pointed a firearm at him, threatening to shoot.

The farmer, who owns a 12-gauge shotgun, told police he became fearful for his life and fired one shot at the men.

Two of the men began running, police said, while the driver sped off.

One of the men collapsed on the roadway.

He died at the scene. He was not immediately identified.

Police said the a 34-year-old Marabella man was arrested near the scene.

Police are searching for the third suspect.

At around 6.50pm, a man identified as Junior "Tallo" Timothy was shot dead in a drive-by shooting in La Romaine.

Police said Timothy was driving his Nissan Tucson along Southern Main Road, La Romaine, when a white van pulled alongside his vehicle.

The occupants of the white van opened fire on Timothy. He was shot multiple times and died in the driver's seat of his vehicle.

Minutes later, another drive-by shooting was reported metres away from the San Fernando Police Station.

At around 7.15pm, gunmen opened fire on a gold coloured Nissan Tiida car along Lord Street.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a fence.

Police the three occupants were wounded.

The Express was told that the men were placed into a vehicle and taken to the San Fernando General Hospital. The driver was pronounced dead on arrival.

The passengers, ages 16 and 33, were admitted to hospital in serious condition.

Police have requested closed circuit camera footage from buildings in the area to assist in the investigations.

UPDATE: BANDIT SHOT DURING HOME INVASION DIES ....... zander say on tv d man nickname was CYAT :o

https://www.facebook.com/alertTandT/pho ... 629671719/

The bandit who was shot during a robbery at a police officer’s home on Saturday has died.
He has been identified as Michael Burnette also known as Katsy, 31, of Rambert Village, La Romaine.
Burnette was paralysed after the bullet severed his spine and ruptured his liver. He was on a ventilator at the Intensive Care Unit at the San Fernando General Hospital.
Burnette was one of four bandits who held up and robbed a police sergeant and his family at their Union Hall, San Fernando home.

Police said around 10.30 pm, four men entered the home armed with a knife and gun, the bandits ordered the 56-year-old sergeant, his 53-year-old wife and children ages 24 and 23 to lie on the living room floor.
They ransacked the house, stealing the officer’s Huawei mobile phone valued $1200, a gold chain valued $700 and four watches worth $800. They took his wife’s Samsung S7 valued $3000, three gold chain estimated at $3000 and an HP laptop worth $4000. They also took his son’s Huawei mobile phone valued $2500.

According to police reports, one of the bandits ordered the sergeant to his bedroom and demanded that he open a safe. He got angry when the sergeant was unable to open the safe because of mechanical issues and began approaching his family. Fearful for their safety, the sergeant retrieved his firearm from the bedroom and shot the suspect. The other bandits ran out of the house and escaped.

The sergeant, who retired last year and returned as a Special Reserved Police officer, and his family, were not harmed. Snr Supt Yusuf Gaffar, Insp Mohammed, Sgt Phillip and Sgt Ramlogan led San Fernando CID and Southern Division Task Force to the scene. Task Force officers took the injured bandit to the hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. The three other bandits are still at large.

For extreme trauma death like that persons generally piss and sheit themselves because the body's last response before death is a massive surge of adrenaline and shutting down of certain autonomic systems to keep others alive. There are no nerve signals to keep involuntary sphincter muscles closed and there is leakage. Yeah, i'm pretty sure from that first pic in the spoiler that that front seat is a mess.

A fella who limes with pest similar to these, said that is a kinda dating/pips thing.

The distance between the 2 index fingers is the length of tolo they would like (or have just received) in their battam. The only way to differentiate is to hope they put a caption.

AN attempted armed robbery at a bar turned fatal for one of the criminals who was shot and killed on Wednesday night( December 2nd)
Police said the owner of the bar at Indian Walk, Princes Town, and a patron shot at the gun-toting criminals.
One of the thieves, who police said was a 26 year-old-resident from the area, was struck and died near the scene of the attempted crime.
The fatal shooting occurred at around 9.15 p.m. at a bar at Contention Road. The bar owner, who is the holder of a Firearm Users Licence, was conducting sales at his establishment when two men - one armed with a firearm - approached and announced a robbery.
He became fearful and discharged his licensed firearm.
A 64-year-old businessman who was also at the bar, also fired his licenced firearm.
One of the criminals was hit, while the other ran off and escaped
