lol i hate that sheit :) i think some of the following points may help minimize them :

1) keep the grass in your yard as short as possible or fully paved is the best
2) keep plants and plant pots to a minimum on the ground (try hanging pots instead)
3) try to minimize hiding spots like bricks etc laying around in your yard
4) spray your yard with disinfectant
5) if they come in your house then you can probably sprinkle salt by all your door ways and entry points

ORRRRR

Start collecting them about a month before Divali then make yourself a nice crapaud cannon out of bamboo :)

Put them into two groups

Read one group the bible every morning

read the other group the koran every morning

they will eventually kill each other off.

When my dogs bite them, if I don't notice or not home at the time, if they stay too long my dogs could die from the poision that the frogs release from their backs when they are threatended or attacked. I does hadda hustle to mix up some egg with glucose to give my dogs to kill the poison.
So whenever I see dem frog, I does get rid of them.

invest in a air rifle & a tin of pellets. if yuh have more than a 100 of them ah go take d wuk. yuh cud pay meh in fyahwater while ah wukkin

also, check around & outside your yard for where a lot of water settles & pools, & allow it to drain or run off. call the corporation if is a drain that blocked. the big ones usually travel far looking for pools to lay eggs in dry season, & if that water source is close to yuh yard, guess where they heading when they done. So when yuh done kill off the elders, the youngsters will grow & start the cycle all over again.

i does kill dem on sight outta habbit. my dogs generally don't bother wit dem, but I aint takin no chances.

Chickens eat cane toads.

Big problem with toads in Australia, and chickens have no problem with the toxins on a toad's back.

Pitbulls have a weakness for toads, dem fackers love to run them down and bite dem.
Leaves them frothing at the mouth for a bit, nothing serious, pits wont eat them once they get the poison taste. Pot hounds are anohter story
